Website of VFF Committee of Can Tho City was officially launched on 29th December; 2021 at the 8th Conference of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, term 2019-2024.

The Standing Board of the VFF Committee of Can Tho City was reported to have organized two sessions in the campaign to mobilize the National Vaccine Fund and COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control Fund of the City in response to the call of the Chairman of the Central Committee of VFF in 2021.

As of December 29th, VFF Committee at all levels of the city has lobbied for 43 billion VND.  The value of mobilizing products, equipment, and medical supplies for pandemic prevention and control is estimated to be more than 168 billion VND.

Furthermore, Standing Committees of city-level VFF Committees have coordinated with member organizations, departments, and agencies to mobilize support for goods, food, and medical supplies for health control checkpoints, blockade isolation centers. They also organized "Kindness" bus trips and a "zero VND market," to support poor and difficult families due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. All of these activities are estimated to be worth more than 100 billion VND.

"For the Poor" Fund at three levels of the city mobilized 10.826 billion VND this year VFF Committees at all levels and cities have coordinated to start construction of 575 Great Solidarity houses totaling over 27.8 billion VND taken from this Fund at all levels and social security mobilization sources.

On this occasion, VFF Committee of Can Tho City launches an English-language website.

According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Chairman of VFF Committee of Can Tho City, its website in Vietnamese was officially put into operation on April 15, 2014, as the focal point for connecting activities, providing official and regular on-line information about VFF Committee’s activities at all levels in the city. At the same time, it is the location for publishing information to propagate and disseminate the Party's policies and guidelines on the great national great solidarity and the united front; mobilizing the people to promote their ownership, to participate in patriotic movements and campaigns to contribute to successfully implementing the tasks of socio-economic development, national defense and security, and so on.

The English-language website contains nine sections about VFF's activities and member organizations. The English content corresponds to the Vietnamese news in terms of accuracy for convenient reference.

According to Mr. Nhan, the launch of this English-language website is to improve the page to meet the interests of domestic and foreign organizations and individuals. It also affirms the determination, activeness, and efforts of the VFF Committee of Can Tho City in gradually building e-government for better service to the people.
