At the ceremony, the Organizing Board received over 5.3 billion VND in support. Mr. Tong Van Nhin, Standing Vice Chairman of VFF Committee of the City, said at the ceremony, “Since 2020, the Mobilization Board of the “Fund for the poor” of Can Tho City has received more than 40 billion VND. It has used this fund to support the construction and repair of 1,547 Great Solidarity houses as well as assistance in seed varieties, means of production, medical examination and treatment for the poor.”

According to Mr. Nhin, the city currently has 2,901 poor households, 9,143 near-poor households, and many disadvantaged households that are in urgent need of the community's attention and support to improve their lives and rise out of poverty sustainably.
