On the 83rd anniversary of Hoa Hao Buddhism (Lunar May 18th, 1939 - May 18th, 2022), the Party Committee, the People's Council, the People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Can Tho City assigned delegations to celebrate the dignitaries and followers of Hoa Hao Buddhism on the morning of June 15th.

The heads of delegations greeted and wished local Executive Committees, dignitaries, and followers of Hoa Hao Buddhism a pleasant celebration filled with peace and pleasure at each visited unit. At the same time, they acknowledged Hoa Hao Buddhists' past contributions in working with local authorities to care for the poor, carry out social security activities, combat the COVID-19 pandemic, and contribute to the construction of new countryside as well as local socioeconomic development. They hoped that the Executive Committees at the local level would continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and the good values of their religion; propagate and mobilize their followers to follow the guidelines of the Party, the policies as well as the laws of the state; and be the first to participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns to contribute to the national development.
