Mr.Truong stated at the meeting that Can Tho and Champasak province have had a very good cooperative relationship in the past. The two localities signed a Memorandum of Understanding in 2011 to collaborate in the following areas: economy and trade; aquaculture; agriculture and rural development; education; tourism... and have successfully implemented the cooperation content.

On this occasion, they discussed cooperation areas for the period 2022-2026, including politics, human resource training, investment, economic development, friendship, and social security. Mr. Le Quang Manh, Secretary of the City Party Committee, agreed on these areas for the future and believed that the two parties would soon complete the procedures to sign the Memorandum of Understanding as soon as possible and to work on them effectively…

Mr. Vilayvong Bouddakham, member of the Central Party Committee, Champasak Provincial Party Committee Secretary, expressed his delight at the warm welcome of the local government, while also expressing his appreciation for the friendship, solidarity, and close cooperation that has grown between the two localities. He also thanked the City for actively assisting Champasak Province in transferring scientific and technological advances in agriculture, as well as sending a delegation of experts to the region to provide technical guidance on rice cultivation and other fields in agriculture for people.
