Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhan congratulated CTUMP on taking a new milestone in its development since it was founded till now. He also hoped that, in the upcoming years, with its sponsors’ support, the University will be able to build spacious facilities and dormitories to accommodate more students besides those who are in difficulty.  He stated that the city’s concern is to assist CTUMP to become a key university in training high-quality human resources in the health care of the whole country.

Delegation cut the ribbon to officially open the dormitory

CTUMP was established on the basis of the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmacy of Can Tho University. Up to now, the University has 6 faculties, 57 departments, and 16 offices, centers and libraries. It offers 10 undergraduate programs, 72 graduate programs and 88 continuous training programs with more than 12,000 students.

In addition to developing resources, CTUPM’s leaders have long concerned about the dormitories during the past 19 years. The introduction of the 100-room dormitory, supported by Defence Ministry’s Corporation 789, has helped reduce students’ housing pressures, enabling them to feel safe during their study here.

Activities began with fireworks to commemorate 72 years of International Student Day

Within the framework of the ceremony, the University also launched a series of works commemorating its 19th anniversary, including Tran De Gate (Nguyen Van Cu Street), Co Chien Gate - Cung Hau Street (Tran Bach Dang Street) and organized activities to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of Students’ Day.
