A seminar on the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta in the new normal, focusing on the roles of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front and intellectuals, will be held in the Can Tho University in the city of the same name on March 25.
The seminar will be jointly held by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Can Tho, the Can Tho University and The Saigon Times Group to contribute to deploying the Government’s Resolution 120/NQ-CP on the sustainable and climate change-resilient development of the Mekong Delta in the new normal.
Through the seminar, feasible and effective solutions to the fast and sustainable development of the region as well as amendments and supplements to policies and regulations will be proposed.

The seminar will be attended by many experts, scientists and managers from the Mekong Delta, HCMC and the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
As many as 27 discourses have been sent to the organizer of the seminar, focusing on the roles of intellectuals and the Vietnam Fatherland Front at levels in the sustainable development of the Mekong Delta, the region’s sustainable development plan in association with adapting to climate change, the roles of the economic infrastructure in the region’s development, agriculture development, the region’s potential to develop agricultural tourism, and the roles of cooperatives in the agricultural product chain development.
