On the afternoon of July 29th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Can Tho City coordinated with the Can Tho Union of Friendship Organizations (CUFO) to hold the signing ceremony for the Collaboration program in the period 2022-2025. In the period 2022-2025, the VFF Committee of Can Tho City will continue to collaborate with the CUFO in intensifying and expanding people-to-people diplomacy activities in the area of ​​Can Tho City. The 6 particular contents of these activities includes: To collaborate in advising, leading, directing and guiding the implementation of people-to-people diplomacy; to organize activities of peace, solidarity, friendship and cooperation with the peoples of other countries; to promote external information and propaganda activities; to mobilize foreign non-governmental aids; to collaborate on the work of overseas Vietnamese, the training of people-to-people diplomacy activities as well as in improving knowledge and skills on international integration.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhan, Chairman of the VFF Committee of Can Tho City, stated in his speech at the ceremony that in recent years, the collaboration between the VFF Committee of Can Tho City and the CUFO had contributed to the maintenance of a peaceful and stable environment, diversified the City’s external relations, created a favorable environment to attract foreign investments and non-governmental aids to effectively contribute to social security policies and the development of the City. On the basis of the signed contents, Mr. Nguyen Trung Nhan hoped that the CUFO and the VFF Committee of Can Tho City would work in close collaboration, overcome difficulties in order to well fulfill the goals that were set by the Party, the State and the City; contribute to the assurance social security, the overall development of the City; become worthy of being the central city and the driving force for the development of the Mekong Delta.
